A COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
“Stand up comedy is a perfect engine for social change.” -Comedy Hall Of Fame
Created by Raymond Lambert, the ALL JOKES ASIDE COLLECTIVE is the re-imagination of the much-heralded All Jokes Aside Comedy Club, as a social mission driven community foundation.
Our mission is to leverage the power of stand up comedy to inspire, motivate, and mobilize for social change. We partner with comedians and change agents whose innovations disrupt the status quo and accelerate progress towards community impact at scale. We have a particular interest in the crisis affecting the health, education, and welfare of boys and young men of color.
Our vision is inspired by organizations like Global Citizen, BET’s Black Girls Rock, Red Nose Day and My Brothers Keeper. We partner with our vast network of comedians, entertainers, non-profits and other stakeholders, developing effective strategies and marshaling resources. We are guided by a COLLECTIVE INTEREST: Talent is evenly distributed, opportunity is not: a COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY: To whom much is given, much is expected: a COLLECTIVE ACTION: we must be the change that we want to see. Affect Social Change One Joke At A Time.
OUR STRATEGIC PLAN
We will host live events throughout the year featuring the high profile talents of the best veterans mixed with the spirit of the best up and coming talents. The plan relies on our primary strengths of producing live events, providing strong social impact results, and funding a range of community organizations and game changers.
In the tradition of the original All Jokes Aside Comedy Clubs, we provide exemplary service, nurture relationships and honor commitments. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethics, accountability and fiduciary responsibility.
